Reef Encounter - Liveaboard Dive and Snorkel Trip

This vessel is a 35 metre twin hull catamaran with 21 cabins and accommodates up to 42 guests, and an average of 1-5 staff to guest ratio.  With daily departures via our transfer boat we can offer flexible itineraries from a single night to multinight trips.

The vessel boasts a variety of cabin styles, is fully air conditioned, has a large dining saloon, tv and lounge area, easy access dive and snorkel platforms, a huge sundeck and outdoor hot tub for your enjoyment; and offers guests a unique opportunity to enjoy the ultimate Great Barrier Reef experience as briefly or for as long as they want. They even have a heli-pad and can offer helicopter transfers from Cairns to the boat if you want total decadence.

A live aboard trip is suitable for anyone who wishes to experience the Great Barrier Reef - whether it be to enjoy the sunset, sleep on the reef, snorkeling with time to really to enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of the quality reef and marine life or for those mad keen divers who want to explore everything under the water!

The company has access to over fifteen diving and snorkeling mooring locations ensuring locations visited are based on weather conditions, time of year and other unforeseeable circumstances and are chosen for your safety and comfort. Licensed reef sites are Hasting Reef, Breaking Patches Reef, Saxon Reef, Norman Reef & Jorgensen Reef. Sites are decided upon by the skipper and according to weather, passengers will be advised on board which sites they are visiting.

Your trip price includes cabin accommodation, linen, chef prepared meals, coffee, tea and fresh fruit throughout your stay, snorkelling equipment and instruction, free scuba lesson for snorkelers, glass bottom boat tours, reef video presentation and marine biologist presentation.

Cabin Styles

The vessel features comfortable and spacious Staterooms that offer Double or Twin beds, all with private ensuite bathrooms. There are also Multi Share Cabins located on the vessel's lower decks, again each cabin offers an ensuite bathroom. Multi Share Cabins are ideal for the budget concious traveller.

2 Days/1 night: Includes 4 day dives and 1 night dive

3 Days/2 nights: Includes 7 day dives and 2 night dives

Introductory Divers

2 Days/1 night: Includes 4 day dives

3 Days/2 nights: Includes 7 day dives

* Please note that diving is subject to medical conditions and minimum age is 12 years.  If you would like to do a night time intro dive, this is an additional $80pp - you must have completed at least one day time dive first.

• Wetsuit Hire - $5 pp
• Cert Dives Guided - $15 pp per dive
• Helicopter transfers - $710pp each way (minimum 2 passengers)
• Return bus transfers - Cairns City - $20pp / Northern Beaches - $35pp.
• Snacks such as chocolate, chips, cookies, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase from the bar. No alcohol allowed to be brought on board.

CANCELLATION POLICY

1. 20% cancellation fee 30 days or more prior to departure.
2. 50% cancellation fee if within 30 days prior to departure.
3. 100% cancellation fee within 14 days prior to departure.
