Aquarium by Twilight is a unique and interesting experience to view the underwater world and learn how animals adapt from day to night.  You will enoy a 2 hour Ecologist guided twilight tour through 10 tropical eco-systems from the rivers to the reef.  

Monday to Saturday 3:00pm-5:15pm &  3:15pm-5:30pm

  • Exclusive after hours Aquarium entry
  • 2 hour Ecologist guided twilight tour through 10 tropical ecosystems from the rivers the reef
  • Come face to face with the Coral Sea's largest night time predators - sharks, rays, giant cod and much more
  • Enjoy a delicious 3 course dinner - welcome drink with appetizer in the Oceanarium, plus main and dessert at the onsite Dundee's Restaurant

Itinerary:

3.45pm - Arrive at the Cairns Aquarium

4.00pm - Ecologist Guided Tour

5.30pm - Drink and canape (appetiser) served in the Oceanarium

6.00pm-7.30pm - Dinner and Dessert at Dundee's Restaurant

  • GRILLED HALOUMI (V) (GF) Locally made Gallo haloumi; served with baby spinach, cherry tomato, chopped macadamia nut & red onion salad, honey syrup 
  • CHILLI CARAMARI (GF) Dusted Calamari in chilli seasoning served with lime mayo 
  • CROCODILE SPRING ROLLS Crocodile mince, rice noodles, julienne vegetables; rolled in spring roll pastry with Ooray plum sauce
  • WARM BEEF SALAD Marinated beef w/Thai style green papaya salad, nam jim dressing

  • BLACK ANGUS SIRLOIN (GF) Mashed potato,sautéed leek, spinach, mushroom, shiraz jus & truffle mayo
  • BARRAMUNDI (GF) Pan seared with potato galette, broccolini & champagne sabayon 
  • SEAFOOD SPAGHETTI (GF AVAILABLE) Sautéed prawns, scallops, calamari, mussels, half bug tail & fish with garlic, chilli, wine & olive oil 
  • CHAR SUI DUCK BREAST Chinese BBQ marinated duck breast on kipfler potato, sugar peas & chilli seared scallops &  orange soy 
  • PUMPKIN PENNE (V) (GF & VEGAN AVAILABLE) Roast pumpkin, balsamic onion, semidried tomato, black olives & baby spinach

  • Creamy Pasta tossed with bacon and mushroom in a creamy cheese sauce
  • Calamari and Chips - Thin strands of calamari dusted in Dundee's coating, served with chips and tomato sauce

DESSERT

  • Vanilla ice-cream with chocolate topping and sprinkles


Children:  Aged 3 to 14 years.

Family Rate: 2 adults and 2 children.
