If you are wanting to simply visit the beautiful seaside town of Port Douglas located one hour north of Cairns there is no 'public bus'. A shuttle bus is available from your accommodation in Cairns or the airport and drop off in the main street of Port Douglas. Upon your return they will drop you off at your accommodation or at the airport. You can also include a visit to the Mossman Gorge.
