UNESCO regards the Quinkan Rock Art as one of the ten most significant bodies of rock art in the world! Tours will highlight connection to the land, plants that were used traditionally for bush tucker and medicinal purposes and trees that weapons were made from. The tour guide will give an enchanting narrative of indigenous peoples ways and culture through the stories that are told through ancient rock art.

The aptly named Magnificent Rock Art Gallery is exclusive to guests of Jarramali Rock Art Tours with a guaranteed intimate experience with a local traditional owner. We offer 4WD tag-a-long tours, for those who would like to be self-sufficient with your own vehicle/camping supplies, meet at Laura and journey to Jarramali Camp to stay a night or two OR pickup tours with all food and camping gear supplied for overnight stays, meet at Laura township, and be picked up in our 11-seater, air-conditioned 4WD truck.

Following the guided tour you will have some free time to wonder, hike around and explore all the landscape has to offer, enjoy the scenery at the lookout and have a cuppa or cool drink and afternoon tea on our viewing deck. Wash off the day’s red dirt in our luxury hot water bush shower overlooking the deep gorge and rocky cliff-faces! In the evening curl up around the fire as the sounds of the Yigi Yigi (didjeridoo) echo through the valley while your roast dinner cooks on the coals. Then its billy tea and yarns around a camp fire.

Wake up and watch the beautiful sunrise coming up over red sandstone, escarpment country. A hot breakfast will be served, and days activities offered are tailored to your interests and depending on how many nights your are staying. Visits to more rock art sites in the area, hiking epic valleys, swims at pristine waterholes, relaxing on the escarpment, exploring old ruins, etc.
