Experience the islands off the Cape York peninsula as well as the spectacular beauty that makes up the legend of this region all in three marvelous unforgettable days.

Day 1 - Departing Cairns Airport at 8.30am our flight takes us over the Reef to Cooktown, this historic town was made famous by Captain James Cook's visit in 1770, through the gold rush days to today's relaxed lifestyle. Lunch is at the Cooktown RSL, after lunch we fly north over the outer Barrier Reef viewing Lizard Island, Wilderness Lands, Cape York, the northern tip of Australia to the Torres Strait Islands. Accommodation and dinner this night at the Gateway Resort on Horn Island.

Day 2 - Breakfast at the Gateway Resort before your aerial viewing of Friday Island, its pearling station and the surrounding islands of Prince of Wales, Good and Hammond. Today will be full of enjoyment and relaxation in the Torres Strait region whilst touring Thursday Island and having lunch here. We then fly over the Torres Strait and down to Weipa. This little known region is the haven for Barramundi and prawn (shrimp) spawning, the crocodile's habitat and turtle rookery, with its continuous beaches and numerous river deltas. Accommodation and dinner this night at the Albatross Bay Resort in Weipa.

Day 3 - Breakfast at the Albatross before touring Weipa to see the bauxite mining operation, an enterprise to be admired, with mining and town facilities developed over many years. Later we fly over the inland towns of Coen and Laura and see the inland river systems and homesteads of Cape York, briefly landing at Lady Musgrave Station for lunch, on the way back to Cairns.
