Kinrara Expeditions

Kinrara Expeditions is a family run business set up on the family's unique cattle grazing property.  Owners since 2002, with the family settling generations prior next door in 1962 at Craig's Pocket and now operating in partnership with the traditional owners of the land - the Gugu Badhun. The owners turned the nature reserve within Kinrara into a place to welcome travelers and adventure seekers to explore the land, learn more about the area's unique flora and fauna, and to get to know the even more unique inhabitants of Australia's youngest land. 

Day 1 - Depart Cairns Airport at 10am as your adventure begins.  Arrive 4pm to MacEacherns Camp and meet the expedition team.  Welcome drinks and view your campsite.  Sunset drinks and dinner and shared stories will end your first day at Kinrara Station.

Day 2 - Begin with a lazy long breakfast.  Today you can bush walk in the morning and kayak in the afternoon.  Discover, Relax, Explore

Day 3 - 4WD convey to explore the vast expanse of Kinrara Station.  Explore calttle yards, windmill, watering holes and lava flows.  

Day 4 - After your energy packed breakfast we offer a 7.5km hike to secluded spring Oasis.  Picnic lunch by the waterfalls.  For the Gugu Badhun this spring is culturally sginificant.  We encourage you not to use loud voices here.

Day 5 - Time for the last hike, kayak and a hearty brakfast.  Depart the station at 10am to allow stopovers on your return to the Big Smoke.  Arrive Cairns approx 3pm.

Cancellation policy

• 30+ Days out - Full refund given less $500 administration fee per person booked.

• 29-15 days out - 30% cancellation fee 

• 14 days out - 100% cancellation fee 

Payment Terms 

• 31+ days prior to travel - 30% deposit upon booking 

• 30 days prior to travel - Balance to be paid 

• If booking within 30 days of travel date, full payment is required
